Happy moments which I shared with my wife during her pregnancy #YummyMummy

Here I have listed down those special moments and unforgettable ones which I shared with my wife during her pregnancy. It was tough for both of us as it was our first baby and her mom was away and could barely visit us. I have some moments to share which were the best ones and funny as well since my wife had mood swings too.

When she got her first sonography report:

It was after three months when my wife got her first sonography report. I couldn't accompany my wife to the hospital as I had not got a leave and she went with her mother to the hospital. But I am thankful to the new technology that my wife could share the pictures of the first sonography report via the internet and she mailed me all those pictures. I viewed them on my laptop and felt so emotional to see my baby's first picture. I kept touching my computer screen and I could only see its legs that looked as small as two teeth. I can't express my feelings in words but all my office colleagues kept admiring those pictures and congratulating me. I went home and we both kept checking the report and imagining what would our baby would look like.

Her baby bump...

It was after 3.1 months that my wife's baby bump was visible and she started gaining a lot of weight. I used to keep teasing her by showing her pictures of how women look in their 7th-8th month and she used to fear of becoming fat. She used to wear long kurtis and paijamas instead of her formal wear and mostly loose clothes.

When she began vomiting:

She did not start vomiting during the first 3 months and it was later on when she used to keep vomiting and I used to feel concerned for her. There was no medicine she could take to stop the vomiting and it was considered normal. I uesd to feel bad for her as the doctor had strictly advised her not to consume any tablets as it could harm the baby's growth. Even when she used ot get headache or stmach ache, she used to learn to control it rather than consume SARIDON or CROCIN.

When my wife kept craving like a baby...

My wife started feeling restless after her fifth month and she used to keep these demands before me that used to makes me wonder whether she is having a baby or is a baby herself. LOL! She used to eat lot of tamarind and kairis but besides that, she used to wake up in the night and ask me to make sandwiches and cheese toast for her. It was one night that she just woke up at 3:00 a.m. and ordered me to go to the kitchen else she would start crying. I was too sleepy but watching her craving, I went insdie the kitchen and decided to fulfill her wish. Unfortunately, there was no bread in the fridge and when I told her the same, she started getting even more cranky. I rushed down to the neighbors house and watching the time, they asked me if there was any problem. I asked them for bread and explained them the situation. When they said they have it, I breathed a sigh of relief. I rushed back up and heard my wife scolding me for taking so long. I went in the kitchen and made her cheese toast sandwich within 15 minutes and she ate it like a child.

The first kick...

She was in her sixth month and I was busy communicating with our baby and making him listen to music. The song was "Disco Dancer" and one of my favorites which was playing and that time our baby kicked for the first ever time. My wife was getting pain initially and to cheer up her mood, I added humor to that moment saying that it's Mithun Chakraborthy's fault and Bappi Lehri who sang the song. The child got angry with that music and hence kicked. She started laughing and her pain too vaished within few minutes.

The day of the delivery...

This day when I came rushing to meet her and the baby, she was screaming in pain and resting on the bed. Those moments had been hard for both of us and more for her as she took all the pain and trouble during these nine months and this day her effort would pay off. Her water bag had broken and the doctors came in and took her away. Her mom was besides her and I kept waiting outside and praying that everything goes well. Finally, the nurse came out with the doctor and congratulated me on becoming a father. It was a moment when my entire world had changed and I rushed inside to see my wife smiling at me and having tears in her eyes. I hugged her tightly and we both enjoyed this moment of joy.

For every father, these moments are the best ones of our life and on this Mother's Day, I want to thank all those women out there and salute them for if it was not for them, we males too wouldn't see life. It's they who bring us in this world and take all the pain upon themselves.

#YummyMummy The birth of a father

Being a male, I always envied woman as they have God's gift of giving birth to a new life while for a male, he has always to live the pregnancy moments with his wife but can never experience the same.

Reliving those moments...
--------------

It was a Friday and I had come from office all tired and stressed as I had worked overtime since weekends wee an off for me.

As usual I called out to my wife "Honey, please bring me a glass of orange juice. I'm too tired now and office colleagues made me complete their pending work..."

My wife came out with a glass of orange juice within 5 minutes and had this endless smile on her face. I wondered if she has prepared something good for dinner or if her office work was going good. I gulped down te juice in few seconds and handed over the glass. I asked her with a smile on my face "Anything special, Honey? Some good news." These words just came out as casual words at that moment.

"Yes." She said. "I have a good news." Her smile was worth capturing and I asked "What's special? Got a salary hike? Any special dinner or something?" "I did not cook food today. Mom is going to come over for dinner and she has cooked something special." I wondered what's the reason and she then caressed her stomach and whispered "I'm pregnant."

---------------

The moment she said those two words to me, I jumped with joy. I had been stressed earlier and that news made my all stress vanish immediately.

For a mother, those moments are even more special as she experiences each and every moment of her child's movement within her and she can feel her breath too while for a father, his entire world changes when he gets to know he is becoming a dad and there will be a kid who will call him "Dada". It was the same for me where I had to make so many preparations to welcome my child, right from planning her diet, doing all the shopping, employing a maid for the housework, to getting a nutritionist who helped my wife all those 9 months and made her a diet chart. My wife was skeptical about putting on weight and then not be able to reduce it after delivery but the neutritionist helped her to gain confidence.

I was working in the office when I got a call from hom that my wife has been admitted in the hospital due to labor pain and I took a half day and rushed to the hospital. After 3 hours, the baby was born and the doctor told us it's a girl. My daughter was still in the incubator due to health issues and a premature delivery and I looked at her from outside thanking my wife and God for this new happiness.

#MyInternTheory Presentation

As I explained my first day as a lecturer, here I would like to throw some light on some moments wherein I had to prepare my students for a presentation and I had just a month to do the same. It was during my internship where the principal wanted each class to make a presentation on the environment and put forward some ideas before Mr. Abdul Kalam who was the main guest for the program. It was a tough moment for me and my students as Mr. Kalam would be choosing one of the best ideas and announcing a prize as well. Since I was the only intern, I had to prove myself and make my students as well proud.

I started working with my students and we kept checking out newspapers, books and magazines and collecting all the topics about the topic. We were around 7 who were working together and my students were very cooperative. They waited after college too and worked on this presentation. We collected the finest details we could and made notes of it. I had a book wherein we stuck pictures and topics that spoke about the environment. We had some black and white pictures too to present that day. It took us three weeks to get everything we needed, right from the speeches of some environmental analysts to magazine cut outs and a graph that we had to explain during the presentation. We finally prepared a 10-minute long presentation. We decided to have a skit too to present the ideas and motive of the presentation and the principal did not mind the same. After a week-long rehearsal, we were prepared completely for the day and I gave my students the confidence and motivation so that they don't fumble on the stage.

When the day finally came, I was biting my nails in nervousness and hoping that everything goes well. My students presented the ideas as we had planned and Mr. Kalam was very happy hearing our thoughts. The smile on his face made me take a sigh of relief that atleast we managed to make him happy and my principal too was clapping at the end of the presentation.

We did not win the first prize but received the second prize and it was really meaningful to me to get a prize from Mr. Kalam's hands. Being an intern, there couldn't have been a greater moment for me than this one.

#MyInternTheory My first class

When I passed my final exams of B.A., there were very few companies who had openings and I was without a job after my graduation. I was an orphan and for me, it was very important to find a good job and it was then my professor came as a savior and offered me a job in the college itself. It was a lecturer's post and I grabbed the opportunity immediately. I proudly came home and told my sister about my first job and she was so proud of me. It was the first time I was actually working and it would earn me money atleast for 2 meals a day. My salary was just Rs. 1500 but it was more than enough for me to manage my expenses.

On the first day, I was introduced to the principal of my college as a lecturer. It was not that my principal did not know about me but instead of a student, I was a part of the faculty now. I was then taken by the principal to my class room and as usual, all the students were busy chit chatting before we entered and after we entered, there was pin-drop silence in the class room. The principal said that Mr. Richard will be your new professor and the students were stunned to hear that. Many students knew me while I was studying there and I felt awkward to be introduced as a lecturer. I thought that they might either pull my leg or misbehave in my class but it was not the case. The students were really obidient and as I started my lecture, they motivated me to continue my class. I started with the first chapter and was nervous as the principal and two more lecturers were sitting at the back and listening to how I take my class. It all went well and I asked the students to share their opinions on the subject and the chapter and many did answer correctly that made me proud. At the end of the lecture, the principal congratulated me of handling the lecture with ease and he gave me a good grade as well.

It was my first day as an intern and from this day, I realized that teaching was the best job for me. I started loving my job and my students gave me immense respect and honor. A student-teacher relationship is very important and valuable and that day I realized that.

McCain Chilli Garlic Potato Bites

I bought this product "McCain Chilli Garlic Potato Bites" from a nearby grocery store recently as my friend had recommended me to buy it claiming that it has a wonderful taste and it can be cooked within few minutes. I then bought it even though it was pretty expensive compared to other ready-to-cook food products I purchase regularly. I tried cooking it the same day and while cooking it, I noticed that it soaked all the oil I had added while cooking. I felt it might not be healthy enough to be consumed by the kids and hence decided to eat it by myself. I tasted it with chilly sauce and it's taste was really good. It was a bit spicy as it contains chillies and as I kept eating it, I noticed that my stomach started aching a bit and the oil content made the food undigestable for me. I couldn't even complete eating the bites and had to keep the remaining bites in the fridge. I had already given up on other ready-to-eat meals but I thought McCain might offer me a better product. I used to watch their ads and the bites too looked perfect as a meal but with regards to the oil it soaks, it makes this food absolutly unhealthy to consume and it's not good for kids at all. I hope McCain can make some changes in the food products they sell and make it healthy for kids to consume.

Subway Diet Review

My friend asked me to try the new Subway diet meal and told me that the Subway diet meal is made of a 6-inch turkey sub and a veggie sub which is preferable by both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The food of Subway is a meal that contains no oil, no cheese and is introduced for people who are having weight problems to enjoy their favorite meal which is fat free. I then started following the Subway diet and managed to reduce about 2 kgs in the first week which was a big achievement.

I love Subway’s non-vegetarian food more and I have started eating the Subway diet meal which has helped me in controlling my weight. It helps me to manage my diet and the food I am eating is healthy and tasty as well even though there is no cheese and oil in the food. I have recommended this diet food of Subway to my other friends as it is the best way to reduce weight. I have managed to lose about 5 kgs within a month which was the best result for me till date.
