#BestZapStore - My Zapstore

Zapstore has a very interesting feature wherein users can create and collect items from different ecommerce sites and curate a collection that represents themselves. Blogadda has come up with a really interesting concept this time where I can make others aware of my own personal choices with regards to clothing, accessories, interior decor and gadgets and this blogpost has few of those items that I have added to my store and that represent my choices and opinions about the items I prefer to buy while shopping online. I am not a fashion icon but I've generally been told and complimented for my style that is different and unique.

Taking you through my store, I've noticed that Zapstore has many users who have added items from different categories and it's interesting to view their preferences as well. The board has an option of Sharing my store items as well so that other users who have added me to their friend's list can checkout my recommendations and buy an item from their choice. The best part is that I can add items from almost all online shopping portals like Flipkart, Amazon, Ebay, Myntra and there is no restriction to the number of items I add to my store. It helps me as well to visit my store and checkout which item I need to buy and then directly add it to the cart. Zapstore redirects me to the respective website wherein I can make my payment and get the confirmation of the same.

Here is a Formal Suit that's a reflection of my style. It has the feeling of going for a formal meeting or an important presentation and it's the appearance of a person that should stand out when he represents his company. I usually attend board meetings wherein my appearance is a huge fact that matters and this suit is what is the best to make me get recognized. This represents myself as a manager and makes me feel confident. It just makes my fear and nervousness vanish due to it's style and fitting.

The next thing that matters to me while working is my watch. Everyone does notice the watch of a person to know his background and class and I usually prefer wearing simple watches but this was a watch that I would dream of owning someday. It's classic look and authenticity is something that represents myself and wearing this watch means never getting late for any meetings and appointments.

While the eyes travel from the suit to the watch, the next thing that makes an appearance perfect is the the phone a man owns. Since I prefer an iPhone above all other phones as it has all the necessary features I require, this would be the best one that suits my need. It's black in color and goes well with the entire outfit of mine.

Last but not the least, my shoes. When I've chosen a formal suit, the shoes too should be formal ones and these shoes have everything that a man requires. It's simply the best ones I need.

My Vision of 2050 #WOW

70 years ago when Indian freedom fighters were fighting bravely for our country to make our country independent of slavery from the British and 15th of August, 1947 marked the day of our freedom and it's all thanks to the brave warriors who fought for us and sacrificed their lives. It's due to their sacrifice that we have been free from slavery from Britishers but the sad truth is that today as well, we aren't completely free and independent. We all are aware of the injustice that is happening in our country and if I need to vision how 2050 would be, I definitely would like to view the brighter and more positive side of our country.

So here's my vision of 2050:

Public-driven Government

There would be no voting, no tickets given to candidates and no elections conducted wherein people are given false promises that would never be fulfilled. Instead, the Government would be completely controlled by a common man. Each person would have a right to say what they need and what suggestions do they have which would be noted publicly and votes would be live. This would make each person's suggestions and opinions open to all and they could vote if they agree or disagree. Then if a suggestion gets maximum votes in favor, the total funds of the Government would be displayed and then the appropriate funds would be assigned to fulfil the needs. This would prevent any kind of corruption and misuse of public's money and all people would be happy to have their thoughts and opinions being valued. Nobody would have any right to restrict them from their freedom of speech.

Disaster Predictor Transmission:

This Disastor Predictor Transmission feature would be like a signal that would be enabled or heard whenever there is a disaster/accident/crime about to take place and it would alarm the citizens of a particular area/city/state of the same before 24 hours of the incident so that the necessary steps to prevent it and protect people would be taken. This would significantly reduce the number of deaths and crimes in the country that's a major concern in today's time. The recent news of floods, the rise in the number of accidents and crimes like rape, murder, theft are alarming and this feature is one that would be a savior for all Indians.

Mind-reading Machine & One-Hearing Courts:

There would be a machine that would be used by the police and attorneys to get the truth from the criminals or the accused as well as the witnesses and this machine would be used to track the minds of these criminals and get the exact description of the crime scene with the help of flashes. Nobody would be allowed to lie as everything would be visible to one and all. No case would make the innocent suffer and everyone would get justice.

Today we have a fast-track court but still cases have been pending and piling up the desks of the respective legal authorities. How wonderful would it be to have a one-hearing court! Justice delayed is justice denied but with the help of these one-hearing courts, the evidence and with the help of the mind-reading machine, nobody would doubt the result and hearing of these cases.

Human GPS:

How many did know 70 years ago we would be using a device called a mobile and have a GPS-enabled device in our cars. We can definitely now have human's having this device implanted within themselves and it would be compulsory for all to have this device instead of bearing IDs and proofs to prove them as a citizen of a country. This GPS would be the best way to track the real identity of  person and there would be no way to have fake identities. Each person would be carrying this device within themselves and they would be tracked only by the legal authorities in cases of suspicion.

Green & Clean India:

Last but not the least, there would be clean and green detectors in each and every area and city that would detect the percentage of cleanliness in the area and each person of that area would be responsible to make his/her area shine and there would be awards and gifts given to the place with the highest percentage. This would motivate everyone to keep their place clean as they keep their house clean.

I just hope and dream of having these all in 2050 when I may not be there to visualize these things myself, my soul would be at peace that my country is definitely going to be known as the best countries in the world.

Negatives of not paying taxes in time #TaxPledge

Like in my earlier post I explained the reasons why we need to pay taxes, in this post I would like to mention the negatives of not paying taxes in time.

Negatives of not paying taxes:

1. Damaging the economy:

By us not paying our taxes or being unable to file the returns in time, we are making it difficult for the Government to manage the economy and in fact it damages the entire budget making all prices to be hiked and the other tax payers are burdened with more taxes to be paid. It's then our responsibility for the sufferings of others and making our country appear as a poor country in terms of the services and facilities. Our country would be let down if more people keep avoiding paying taxes and this will create problems for everyone, including ourselves. It would stop the growth of our country.

2. Punishment:

By not paying taxes, we  are entitled to a penalty that makes us pay interest on the taxes and thus making us bear an amount higher than we had to actually pay. This percentage keeps increasing and if the amount becomes too much for you to afford, you are liable of a harsh punishment like jail. There have been many cases where businessmen hide their income statement and have more foreign investments and thus try to cheat our country. Sooner or later, their details are revealed and then the punishment knocks their door.

3. Fear:

Not paying taxes means not being a loyal and honest citizen. It's the duty of every citizen who earns an income that falls in the income tax bracket to pay the required taxes. By having black money and cheating our country, it will only make us live in fear and keep getting scared of an IT raid. Why to live in fear daily and not pay the taxes by filing the income tax returns? We can do it easily and avoid and further issues.

I’m taking the #TaxPledge to file IT returns with the easy Income Tax efiling option from H&R Block at BlogAdda.

Have you heard about the #TaxPledge challenge by H&R Block? Watch this video now:

Are you asking yourself why you need to pay taxes?

Here are the answers to your question:

1. Be a responsible citizen:

Being a citizen of our country ot holding a PAN card or Aadhar card in our name doesn't make us an Indian but we have a duty towards our country. We need to think that by not declaring our income, we are running away from our responsibility which we have towards our country. As much as our country has given us, we also need to payback and this can only be done by being a responsible citizen and paying our taxes on time.

2. Get benefits:

By paying taxes we are ourselves benefitting. If you are thinking that by paying taxes it's only the Government that gets funds and benefit, you are wrong. It's we also who benefit from it. If you want to apply for loans, your tax statement shows your credibility of paying the loan back. If you need to apply for a visa, your financial documents need to be submitted and hence this is when your tax credibility counts. These all factors matter at each step in life and we have to declare our income to get benefited from it.

3. Country issues are our issues:

We often complain about roads being unclean and especially during the rainy seasons when potholes make it so difficult for us to travel and walk on the streets. Also, poverty in our country is the most spoken issues here. The same goes for unemployment and we need getting services that other countries get. This is because many people avoid paying taxes and don't declare their income. These all issues can be reduced if we pay our taxes and this money can then be used by the Government who can fund educational insitutions, repair roads, help the poor by providing them with water and food facilities and so on.

Do you know that the last of filing income tax return is 30th September for those who have to comply with Tax Audit requirements? Be responsible! Pay your taxes in time!

Addressing few facts ShareTheLoad

As we spoke about how laundry is considered as a women's job despite of noting the fact that men also do the laundry work as a part of their job and we have seen Dhobi ghaats where mainly men are seeing washing the clothes, this thinking process needs to be changed.

I have made a list of things that need to be addressed in order to change the identities of women being responsible of the laundry work.

1. Why does a woman need to promote a detergent brand?

For years we have seen ads promoting detergents and have women shown as the person promoting the brand. Recently, an advertisement shows how a child gets his t-shirt dirty and a lady tells his mom her work has increased. It's not the advertisement that is at fault as every brand portrays women responsible for the laundry work. The men are shown passing on their clothes to the ladies of their house and the ladies then are shown scrubbing the clothes and washing them with the detergent powder. Why this can't be changed? The ads need to show men too helping the women in this job as just passing on the dirty clothes to the women makes it the responsibility of a women only to manage the laundry work. When a man's clothes get dirty, he can himself wash his own clothes instead of making it a woman's job.

2. Laundry work is not rocket-science

Men feel that washing machines are made for women to use it. When I visit malls too, it's mainly women who are seeing purchasing washing machines and men paying the bills. Is it right? A washing machine can be used by anyone who learns how to use it and men aren't incapable of using a washing machine. It has infact made the laundry work look like a minute's job. It just requires a little effort to scrub the clothes with the detergent and press the button of the washing machine. Then you need to take out the clothes and dry them. Is it difficult? Not at all. Anyone can do it and we can start this by making our sons wash their own clothes or atleast start learning how to use a washing machine. They will themselves operate it later on and share the load.

3. Blogs addressing the fact:

I recently read this blog and was shocked to see the facts mentioned here. https://thesocietypages.org/socimages/2012/01/19/125-years-of-holding-women-responsible-for-laundry/

For 125 years, people only hold women responsible of the laundry work? Why is it so? I am also a male and I don't see why does my wife only have the need to wash the clothes of my house. I can do this job easily. While cooking is a task that requires one to first learn how to cook, laundry doesn't require any kind of knowledge. It's one of the most easiest tasks that anyone can do and it is not at all a workload. Men need to think about the other jobs a women does and take up atleast the laundry work to make it easier for their females.

We need to agree that Laundry is not just a women's responsibility and there's nothing that really defines a job as a women's job or a man's job. Clothes are worn by both genders and hence why differentiate or identify one as the one held responsible of the laundry work? I hope this blog post can help in spreading the word and men do Share The Load.

I am taking part in the #ShareTheLoad Challenge with Ariel and Aksharaat BlogAdda.

Discussing the task's gender ShareTheLoad

As I and my wife took up this activity at home and had a great time sharing the load and writing about our experience, we both as individuals spoke about the general perspective of women and men thinking about what work is decided to be a male's job or a female's job. We started talking about all the house chores that a woman performs at home and thinking about each task being feminine or not.

1. Making breakfast, lunch and dinner:

These tasks can be performed by males and females. Like we have male chefs in restaurants who are expert in cooking, this job can be done by both males and females. It's not a task that cannot be done by any gender and like we have females who handle household duties in addition to their office duties, we can have males too who can take up the duty of preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner at home.

2. Laundry work:

It's true that we haven't actually seen males wash their own clothes in their houses but we do have laundries where we can see males washing the clothes, ironing them and returning them to us. When males can do it outside the house and it is considered as their job, they can do it at home as well. Laundry work is not only assumed to be a women's job nor is it a task that is feminine. It's a responsibility that needs to be shared.

3. Homework/Taking care of kids:

Like we see mothers completing the homework of their kids, why can't males do the same? Educated men can take up this responsibility and teach their kids while the women in their house can take the time off or concentrate on another job. Educating a kid is a parents job and not exactly defined as a man's or woman's job. We have male teachers in schools and colleges and so males can teach their kids at home as well.

As we discussed about the household jobs, we noticed that there is no task that is feminine and we have seen men who do the same as a part of their job, can share the load with the females of their house as well. There should be nothing that can be considered only a female's job as each and every task can be done by both, men and women. We need to promote this message on all platforms to see the responses and get feedback on the same.

Fun Sunday Task #LaundryGoesOddEven

I tried and tested the Ariel Matic gift hamper that I received from Blogadda and here's what I've to say about my experience.

It was a fun activity that I and my wife did on an early morning Sunday. We woke up at 6:30 a.m. and I got the clothes ready that need to be washed. We switched on the washing machine and I just told my wife to keep guiding me as I use the washing machine and stop me if I made any mistake. I opened the packet of Ariel Matic and took out the scoop. The powder was really fine and had a decent fragrance. I added the amount as advised by my wife and then took out the remaining clothes that had tough stains. My wife stood by me and told me that I cannot mix up the other clothes with these ones as the dirt would mix up with those and hence I used another scoop that my wife uses and started rubbing on the stains. At first, I was doing it slowly and my wife taunted me saying that it would take days if I continued at this speed. We just laughed at that moment as she could see that I was serious about this activity as I wanted to prove that I am a cooperative husband.

I was finding it tough to rub the stains but I could see Ariel working on those stains and them slowly coming off. It took me about 15 minutes to remove stains from one tshirt and I spent another 45 minutes for the other three garments and then I put all those clothes in the washing machine and started it. In about 2 hours then to get all those clothes washed and I and my wife kept chatting with each other as she was in the kitchen and I was besides the washing machine.

My wife was constantly thanking Blogadda and Ariel for this activity as it made her work easy. It was after a long time that we shared such good moments and I realized that if we share our work like this every Sunday, life would be so wonderful for us. It should be done by all husbands as wives really feel happy when their husbands help them with the housework although initially they are reluctant thinking that we may not do a good job.

Thanks Blogadda and Ariel for making me and my wife relive those funky moments we were missing earlier.
